This is one of those blog posts that was recommended by a follower…shoutout to Syd Puk!! As it is my favorite season of the year I figured we should put together a list of activities that couples can do to truly embrace FALL!
One of Michael and I’s favorite is pumpkin picking!! We go to our local farm and hop on the tractor and get to field! We usually just buy them to have on the porch rather than carving them because of the crazy mess it makes lol But we really love to go because the barn has so many yummy food options! From apple cider donuts to apple jams omg yum yum yum! This is also a perfect activity for families and groups of friends!!! If you find one that has hard ciders you’re in even more luck!
Next up is something Michael definitely enjoys more than I do…HIKING. Lately, he’s been so interested in exploring the local parks that lead to these small towns. Pretty cool idea. However, I am not an outdoorsy woman at all. I am not a huge mud and bugs fan either. But I do this for him because I love him. Grab your favorite pair of boots, high socks, and many layers and get out there and enjoy the scenery! If you find a pile of leaves, absolutely jump in them!
Wine festivals are up next!! I freaking love Laurita Winery in New Egypt, NJ! Especially because they host amazing fall themed festivals! They usually involve food trucks, fire pits, and tons and tons of wine! One of the best things I’ve ever done with friends is to play a scavenger hunt! So you get a list of activities and you must accomplish them. First to do so wins! Last time we played our funniest one was to get a picture with someone with a huge beard! Honestly so hilarious!
On the other hand, you could always find some breweries/microbreweries to hang out at! New Jersey and Pennsylvania have so many! Most of the time, these places will allow you to order food and have it delivered!! We went to one by us called Forgotten Boardwalk where they had boardgames and was fun house themed! So cool!
Fall picnics are so scenic and romantic! You can pack up a thermos of soup and a couple of sandwiches and make your way out to a local park! You get to spend quality time with those you love as well as enjoy the outdoors while we are in this beautiful season.
An idea that my mom and I had a long time ago was to set up an outdoor movie night for the neighborhood! We never got the chance to do it together but it is a super easy and fun idea! You can buy a blow up screen and a projector and boom, the perfect set up! Buy some popcorn and candy and lay out blankets for friends and you have such a fun group activity!!
OH MY GOODNESS HOW COULD I FORGET MICHAEL’S FAVORITE FALL ACTIVITY?! Football games are basically his only love language hahah! He has gone to so many Navy games this year! They are doing so well!! You can go to your local highschool’s game or even the closest university! There is just something about the atmosphere at a sport’s game that can be so much fun!!!
Here’s a fun one for the adventurous ones in your group!! Go check out your local haunted attraction!! We have a few near us since we are so close to Philadelphia but almost all cities and towns have that one spot that is claimed to be haunted. Usually they are open attractions to the public!! Why not get the heart rate rising by doing it at night?!
Something that isn’t up my alley is camping but it is the best season for it!! If you are up to it, go find a local campground and set up a tent!! You can hike the surrounding area and spend quality time outside! Don’t forget your compass!! Haha
Last option and this one is for our 21 and older friends!! You can host an autumnal booze infusing party!!! Gather all the unflavored booze in your house and all the fall spices and flavors! Put them together on a bar cart with some cute mason jars that your friends can take home and you have a seriously fun night ahead! Talk about being the hostess with the mostess!
Go try some of these fun activities with you friends, family, and loved ones!! And let me know if you do any of them!! Tag me in your posts!!
