Books I’ve Loved Lately!

December 13, 2018

Hi friends!!!!

It’s Thursday, we’re almost done with the work week!! We can do it!! Since I graduated college, my commute to work has been about an hour. That is such a long time and I hated wasting it listening to music. My mom introduced me to Amazon’s Audible and I am obsessed! The lovely lady that she is, my mom bought me a year’s worth of Audible credits to buy books and listen to on my way to work.

Here are my top picks I’ve listened to lately!

-The Subtle Art of NotGiving a F μ ¢ K by Mark Manson

I LOVED this book. Seriously gives you the jolt of energy you need to get out there and do whatever your heart desires. Just saying this book started my thinking about this blog! It’s a self-help book that doesn’t come off very self-helpy. Mr. Manson writes in a tone that can attract all types of people. I suggest this book for people who are feeling like their daily life is feeling a little mundane and you just need to relight that flame of life. Also check out those reviews!!!

-Anne of Green Gables Series by L.M. Montgomery

I know I am a twenty-something but the sweet wholesome story of Anne and her up bringing just got me. I loved hearing how Anne grew into the woman she became book by book. Her love story hit me in the gut and really got me.Definitely recommend if you never read the books as a girl. Just so stinking sweet. his is the whole collection of books but you can find them separately (honestly this collection as an audiobook is a steal!).

-You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and StartLiving an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero

Wow. That’s how I can describe this. Jen Sincero really rocks you to the core and wants you to be the best you possible. Another self-help book that doesn’t feel self-helpy. After listening to this book, I was convinced that for my 24th birthday I wanted to sky dive (it is planned for the spring of 2019 because of weather issues)!! If that doesn’t explain the kind of badassery I want to experience because of this book I’m not sure what does. Recommended for those who need a reminder that you are and have always been a badass. Another highly reviewed book!

-Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be by Rachel Hollis

Absolutely by far the best book I listened to in 2018. Mrs. Hollis encapsulates exactly what every woman thinks but never acknowledges. The way she writes the book, she explains the lie we all tell ourself and how she converts that lie into a type of positive productivity. She keeps things very real and I love that about it. She has a new book out called Girl, StopApologizing: A Shame-Free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals and it is at the top of my list! YAS to those reviews!

Clearly I have been loving self-help books lately! They sparked my interest in really giving blogging a chance so I thank each book for their advice! I have plenty of books still on my list and I’m very excited to read more! If you do have suggestions send them my way!! I love trying new genres and titles I haven’t read before!

Have a great Friday-Jr.!! It’s almost the weekend which means it’s almost Christmas!!!

Love always,

Z
