Guest Speaking on Toss Out The Rules Podcast

September 4, 2019

I was so freakin grateful when Alessia and Kelly reached out asking if I’d be interested in being a guest on their podcast called Toss Out The Rules! I had originally met them at the New Jersey Girl Boss Gathering hosted by Rachel Gordon and Amanda Scarpacci. We only met for a brief moment but still was glad to have networked at that event!

We planned to record the Monday of Labor Day at noon! All they asked for was a quick bio, so simple! We also agreed to talk about the skincare blog I wrote that dove into the regulations behind the cosmetic and skincare industry. I was stoked because this was something I heavily researched for the blog and could definitely speak to!

The podcast is for young professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, side-hustlers and anyone else looking to embrace their authentic self and their purpose with an open mind. Alessia and Kelly talk about their experiences “making it” in their industries while talking with guests who have the same mindset, have gone through business obstacles, built relationships and ultimately their own success stories! They take a deep dive into “ah-ha” moments and how building your own path by breaking rules can lead to your own personal success!! Definitely check it out and give it a listen!! The gals are very relatable and personable!

Kelly and Alessia record in North Jersey and I live in South Jersey so we recorded the podcast through Zoom Communications which I’ve never used before but it was awesome!!

I will say I was a bit nervous going into it because I had never done anything like this before!! But Alessia and Kelly were so nice and made me feel like we were just having a normal conversation!!

What was supposed to be a podcast about clean skincare actually turned into a conversation about self-awareness and food choices! It honestly flowed so easily that we didn’t mind the switch in topic at all!

The podcast came out this morning and it’s about an hour long which is crazy because it did not feel like we talked for that long at all!!

I’m very grateful for this experience and can’t wait to maybe do more podcasts and other speaking engagements in the future!! Until then, I’ll just listen to that one on repeat hahah!

Go give it a listen if you have a spare hour!!

The podcast itself!
