I love the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I have been shopping it for three years now and always end up with fabulous and beautiful items at great prices. Two years ago, I got the Blank NYC brown suede jacket and Spanx leggings! Last year I got a faux leather moto jacket, leopard mules, and two more pairs of Spanx leggings. Honestly, I really buy a few items that I can wear for years that are investment pieces. This year will be no different.
My goal this year is to go for more ethical and sustainable branded items that support global wellness in a plethora of ways. I have been slowly selling my clothes to replenish them with pieces that are great quality and better for the environment. So my hope is to find some solid basics!
Most of my basics are from three years ago and are beginning to break down. I don’t blame them, I’m pretty rough on them. So I’m looking for a white t-shirt, black t-shirt, and gray t-shirt. I already have those colors in long sleeve so I will be looking for short sleeves.
I’ve heard awesome things about the Zella leggings and they are made with recycled water bottles so that is super cool in my book. I only need one pair so I will most likely find a pair that is lower in price since they are all similar. In the same category, I have been wanting to try the Girlfriend collective activewear pieces since they also use recycled water bottles to produce their clothes. I hope to get a sports bra that can be used across all types of activities.
For the last couple of years, I have been searching high and low for the perfect Chelsea Boot. Okay, so they’re not hard to find but I’m so insanely picky with boots that they must be perfect in my mind. They have to be a mix of modern, classic and slightly rustic. Enough of each that they can go casual to dressy easily.
Now this is a want more than a need… leather over the knee boots. I have a pair that are 4 years old and are seeing their last days. They are perfect for work since I do work in a lab. Seriously such a steal!! How could I not? Totally justified since I’ve been looking for two years now! I got them and love them! Definitely need to be broken in but perfect for fall!!!
Another want…a good quality skinny jean, straight jean and flare jean that have no rips or tears. They could go from work to party with a simple change of top or shoes!
For Michael, I really want to get him another trucker hat. He wears his hat down so quickly that I should probably start investing actual money into certain brands just for their hats. Maybe I shouldn’t just invest invest in buying him hats but stock in the company too! LOL
