I have never been the kind of girl who goes crazy over getting her hair done. But the once a year I go crazy and get it done and I get crazy excited! I should be better and go at least one more time a year but can’t bring myself to do it!
I got my last haircut in July of 2018 and chopped all my damaged blonde hair off! I went short and loved every second of it!
After starting the curly girl method, I noticed my hair started growing so faster!! I didn’t expect that! So as time went by it started to hit a length I didn’t love so I booked my appointment with my favorite Ouidad stylist Claudine DeChiara at Bijou Salon in Robbinsville, NJ. Whenever I go to Bijou I feel so welcomed! Immediately they ask if I need anything to drink!! So sweet!! The salon is so chicly decorated with pops of red everywhere! I absolutely love it!! I started seeing Claudine when I was 16 up and continued until I was 19. Because I moved so far away I stopped for a while. But now I have been back for the last two years! She ALWAYS knows exactly what to do with my hair! I trust her completely! I adore her spirit and energy!! She is truly an amazing person!! I’m grateful to know her!
This time around I wanted something super spunky!! I’ve had short hair but never enough volume so I figured let’s try bangs!!! And not the blunt across the forehead bangs. I was thinking baby bangs that can be moved around.
When I showed Claudine she was so excited which made me so happy!!! We were on the same page!! She did a Ouidad deep condition first by putting the mask on and allowing it to heat in a cap for ten minutes! My hair was insanely soft!!!
After the deep condition, Claudine started doing her magic! My glasses were off so the whole thing was a surprise! (In case you didn’t know it, I am literally blind without my glasses!) I could feel her getting closer and closer to the front of my face!! The bangs were on their way!! She took off a couple inches and rounded it out by putting layers in, which is exactly what I wanted!!
She cuts curly hair in a way where it’s not frizzy and triangle like. It’s like art and I’m always fascinated as I sit in her chair!!
When it was time to style it, she knew I wanted something voluminous with the bangs fully out!! Boy did she not disappoint!! It was stunning!!! It has a vintage vibe that I just couldn’t stop playing with! The cut and style were perfect and absolutely what I asked for and wanted!!!
She was so sweet and took lots of pictures for me and holy cow it was even better than I imagined!! I couldn’t believe it!! I kept shaking my head because it was so light and bouncy!! Thank you Claudine!! You’re an extremely talented hair stylist and such a sweet soul!!!
I slept with it tied up in my satin scarf and the next day it was super cute!!! On Monday I added a small amount of conditioner with water and the Ouidad refresh spray and everyone at work LOVED it!!! Tuesday’s refresh was just water and Wednesday I threw it up in a half up half down style and it looked adorable!! I can’t wait to play with it more!!!
