How to Break the Rules and Wear White in Fall/Winter

October 30, 2019

I’m a huge proponent of breaking every fashion rule when you feel comfortable to do so. Number one rule to break: don’t wear white after Labor Day. LOL excuse me? Who said you can dictate what color I can wear year round? I SAY WEAR WHITE EVERYDAY IF YOU PLEASE!!

I have this adorable J Crew button down dress from a couple years ago that just isn’t getting enough wear out of it. So I decided to figure out a couple ways of wearing it that make it appropriate for cooler weather!

When Rachel wanted to shoot at Holland Ridge Farms I just knew it would be the perfect spot to make my fall vision come to life! If you don’t follow her yet, you totally should! @RGordPhoto on instagram and https://www.rgordphoto.com/ .

No onto the tips:

-Incorporate a jacket (leather, suede, linen, jean) to ease the transition. I have a brown suede, black leather, blue jeans, and green linen jackets. Also, it’ll keep you warm so big bonus there!
-With a white dress, pair it with your favorite boots or sneakers! Automatic transformation of a summer dress to a cooler weather option!
-White sweaters/cardigans pair amazing with dark denim and a dark lipstick!
-White shoes are an amazing accompaniment to a darker outfit! Lighten it up with a pop of white!
-White accessories are always a fun option too! They can definitely break up a darker look!
-White pants go amazing with an on-trend blazer coat or chunky sweaters and boots!

Now if you decide to break all the rules and wear white I want to see so tag me in all your white outfit posts!!
