HAPPY ONE YEAR BLOG ANNIVERSARY TO THE CHIC CHEMIST!
This little piece of the internet would not be possible without everyone’s support!! I wanted this to be a place that anyone can come to to get fashion advice and to learn something about science. I think I’ve achieved both!! That’s not to say I’m still learning and developing everyday to make this the best place possible!!
In the last year I’ve learned some interesting things about myself!!
I am so much more extroverted than I thought I was. The only person holding me back from most situations was me. But in the last year I’ve been to 5-10 networking events where I don’t know a single person!! On the occasion I do know someone, I try my best to not spend the time with just them. I’m unbelievably proud of myself for really pushing my boundaries and meeting new fabulous people!! It really gives me confidence to continue going out of my comfort zone!!
Although I already knew this, it has been so much more enforced this past year. Women supporting women. It is so important and I have seen first hand what can happen when women come together to support each other and lift each other up. I realize that I was missing that in my life after graduating college and not being around friends. So to have a community again feels amazing.
I really just feel grateful. And the blog shows me how much I’ve learned over the years in school, at work, and in life general. I have amazing best friends and family who support me constantly! I could cry of such joy for how happy The Chic Chemist makes me!! I hope it brings you joy too!!!
